I am currently running 4 H23-600 receivers and would like to add a couple new receivers to my house...I want to own and not lease...my question is what newest HD receiver do I need? I don't need DVR, just HD...

The newest HD receiver is a H25 but it's SWM only which means you must install a swm multi switch or LNB to use them Sent from my PantechP8010 using DBSTalk mobile app

And, if you don't have SWM and get H24s, you will need two b band converters on the back, connected to each tuner. They are not used on a SWM system. You don't have them now as the H23 has them built in.

SO you have SWM.  the H25 will do, or any H2 series HD receivers for that matter

...I want to own and not lease...

May I ask why?  there is really no difference besides "vacation turn offs"

Monthly fees are the same

this is how my system goes...have slimline dish with one cable going to one cable in and four out splitter..then on the inside I have a H23-600 receiver with power inserter on the receiver in living room and 3 other H23 receivers in each bedroom...my question is: To make the H25 receiver work what do I need to change or just hook it up?

Since you have SWM, just plug in the H25 and activate. No need for a b band converter.

Just make sure it is truly owned.

Since you have four receivers on a four way splitter, you will need to get an eight way to add the extra receiver. Don't forget, the splitter has to be swm compatible. Also, the unused ports need to be capped with a 75 ohm terminator.
