So far, it has not shown a single bowl game. None. At least, when they are on live. It does show the times for the replays.

Your first page may pop up onto "My Teams" (actually yours!  :) ). Make sure you select date and All Ch. or Ch. I get.

I go to the guide. Then I press the yellow button. I select "Sort programs by category". Then I select "sports" and select "football". The sports guide then says it has 500 programs and shows all sorts of football related programs. Pre-game, post-game, team shows, high school games, pro games, bowl previews, all kinds of stuff except the actual bowl games.

I have no custom guides set up.

OK. I was talking the Search Function which has a Sports section. I think you'll find that easier to use. I do see the K-State-Michigan game via your method.

Oh, rats, I just now see your model and peds' reply on it. I don't have that model; sounds old!

It is the current SD receiver. I'll be getting an HD receiver in the spring after the leaves are on the trees. The dish will have to be moved since the neighbor's tree is now in the LOS.

I think you are referring to the sport feature on the Genie

Yes, of course! I've been working on the Genie so long that I think everyone has one!

Sorry for the misdirect, Lynn; my bad.

I like the sports search feature, but I find the use of logos instead of the team names very confusing. I don't know the logo for every college team out there and the process of selecting it, seeing it, going back and waiting for it to reload, then resuming where I was takes too long. I did not see the logos until the NR came out.

I wish they'd replace the channel name text in the guide with the channel logo (most of them are obvious or have the name in the logo anyway) and use text NOT logos in the sports search. They've got it backwards! (Before the fanboys start in with the "I don't need logos in the guide" please go to a friends house with a guide that has them and see the difference. Night and day.)

I'm agnostic to logos in the Guide. As to sports teams, I know those of the teams I want to see, for the most part. The other logo, showing the sport, is very useful to me in skipping a lot of matchups in sports I care little about.

Don't mean to hijack someone else's thread but what is the best option when adding your teams season recording All Channels or Channels I Get? the reason I ask is because it tries to record on channel's I don't have.

I'd choose Channels I Get, but also I'd be prepared for misses and hence would double check anything I was really interested in.
