I did some editing to reflect what had been mentioned in subsequent posts. (Thank you.)

If I missed anything, it's because I was working on this [Wednesday 01.08.2014] between 6 and 8 a.m. ET, did some checking to make sure of accuracy, and was also working on limited time. (Meaning, I had something else I needed to do.)

Viacom doesn't provide VH1C in HD, so there isn't a feed for D* to send us. I to would like it in HD.

bio is also going to be renamed. I don't even care to bother looking it up from a search engine to be reminded of what that new name will be. That's just how impressive the rebranding of bio—and here with Military Channel—are.

When it comes to anticipating early additions of HD programming following DirecTV's launch of D14: I think the premium movie programming brands of Encore will become added. It's almost two years since DirecTV and Starz Entertainment LLC reached a contract to expand carried Encore programming brands with MoviePlex, IndiePlex, and RetroPlex. So, perhaps DirecTV deliberately has had in mind getting the new satellite to launch before carrying through with the rest of the Starz/Encore programming brands.

My first guess is Interactive Ad Channel, but just a guess.

It's in the 999x range, so probably not linear, but you never know.

I noticed that channel 111 label is IAC that's showing Despicable Me2 interactive activities.

I saw that in past for shout time for some ad. It's not full time and likely will go away.

I want CLTV / CLTV HD on direct tv.

Maybe those test channels will turn in HD "active" type channels or even the customer info channel. They did have different PID numbers vs the usual right?

Sacramento CA Directv lineup includes THREE(3) channels with all the same QVCHD program, all in HIGH DEFINITION.  channels 70, 275, AND 317.  Yet we cannot get the following in HD:  RFD, channel 345, Game Show Network, AND Esquire Network.  All of this programming is available in HD.  The Esquire Network is extremely important since all of the Mecum Car Auctions are now only available on Esquire, used to be on Velocity channel 281 in HD.

It doesn't make sense that Directv has a High Definition capacity issue when they've got the SAME QVC program on 3 different HD channels!

The three QVCs use the same one feed. It is just mirrored to appear as multiple channels.

Even though QVC HD is on 3 different channels it all points to the same feed on DirecTV 10, Transponder 3, VPID 0x1040, they're not uplinking the channel 3 times. The same goes for other channels that appear in multiple spots like Audience and the Sports Mix

As for why, the shopping channels pay DirecTV to be on the lineup either directly or via commission on purchases by their subscribers. Having it in multiple spots increases the chances something catches people's eye as they flip past it.

Why that channel in HD?, wasn't PPV preview channel ch 125 enough? I guess it's safe to say that nothing worth watching is getting added in HD until D14 and even then it will maybe take a couple months.
