Well "DIRECTV Ready" is simply the re-branded name for an RVU capable TV.

 

But what's new here is the availability of UHD content via VOD.

 

You know at first look I got a little excited by the mention of UHD VOD along with that new looking type dish in the image. But I don't think it means anything other than a random artist drawing. :)

that dish looks like a Sony dish from back in the days...


Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels.
The the troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things different.
They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo.

But strangely with a FTA or the 95W dish linear looking FSS LNBF.

no, the Sony LNB looked just like that.  This is the dish that came with an LED to align it
