There were a lot of people had this problem last year but they have all been fixed.
It was a specific model number that was having the problem.
Call DTV, tell them the full model number of your receiver and how it is acting. Example R15-300. The full number is located in the same area as the smart card and the reset button.
It might need to be replaced.

what model of receiver do you have. look for the model number inside the access card door..
Do you have any other receivers/DVRs? Are they working OK?
