Farm is several miles from telco CO and its a co-op. Not enough populace density here to justify the high speed lines yet though fiber is coming. I can do celular, sat, or copper DSL at this stage.

Huh. Kinda expected you to have a better ISP for streaming. Without streaming, the Pannys aren't that much different than the Sammys, but the sound might surprise you. I dunno, I'm all about PQ and the Pannys do play BDs very well.

What's a dazzling urbanite like you doing in a rustic setting like this?

I'm still waiting for FIOS for Net.  Don't think it will ever happen here.  Very curious.

(Talking about the loading of the movie Casino)

That's the shortcoming you're gonna run into with a Sammy.  They don't load BDs or Netflix as fast as a Panny.  Of course, I'll trade that slowness for the better PQ every time.

I'm going to have to run the stopwatch, but I'm going to have to say that Casino loaded up much much much faster on this player than on my 2009 Panny.

My Panny BD65 was the fastest loading BD player I've ever had.  For discs.  The Sammys I have seem to think everything over before doing anything.
