Hmm... which dish, and how do you connect 2 different kinds of multiswitches?

you need two 2way all ports power passing splitter to connect both switches in parallel

OK... I can keep my existing receivers... and the Genie only has 1 input for SWM, and I use 3 "old" DTivo receivers which do not have SWM which would mean I need to replace them AND a couple non-HD TVs which don't need to be HD because of where they are and what they are used for

 

Slimline 5 dish to a WB68 multiswitch to new house location works... switching every thing to SWM does not... so, someday, HR24 w/1T drive works for me... Genie works for other people

instead of limiting your options because of you lack of knowledge of DirecTV system, why not ask what you can and can't do and we can advice properly
