Caller Id on The Genie

Ever since i got my Genie Receiver the caller Id feature doesn't work properly! It wont display the name and number it just says not avaliable! it worked fine on my standard receiver! Is there a fix for this?

It's a known issue.


DirecTV customer since 1995.

to which some one will post it will be fixed "soon"  which I find hard to believe

Just curious which Genie do you have HR34 or HR44?

Caller ID worked for years with my HR 34. Worked with my HR-44 until a software upgrade happened. Ran the self test, it returned 'no dial tone'. Rebooted the 44, it worked for a few days then failed again, same error. Rebooted again, it has been fine for the last couple of weeks.

but in your case it was no dial tone, in this case is working just not displaying the phone numbers
