Neat feature on Genie but it doesn't work right. This is the problem:

When you choose your team the Genie software sets up to record all of your team's games. However, if you have a team in the western time zone, and worst of all the southern California zone, the recording is always based on the opposing team because most of the time they are on a lower regional sports channel. Example, my team, the San Francisco Giants are broadcast on 696. Every other team they play is on a lower channel. The problem is that the formula put in place by the programmers is to record the first Giant's game it comes to; always a lower Regional Sports channel. So I am always stuck with the other team's telecast.

The fix: What the program needs to do is to first identify yor team, find the home channel for the team, and then go to that channel(or the alternative in the larger areas), find the telecast, and then schedule it. If the game is not scheduled then go to the other teams channel and record it.

Two possible circumstances would be if it was a Fox Network broadcast on the weekend or MLB Network broadcast.

I know enough about programming to know this problem is easy to fix. How do we go aboput getting Directv's programming department's attention. Moderator, can you help?
