Could someone please tell me what the pros and cons would be of ordering through a telecom provider?

I've had mine bundled through TDS for a few years without any problems. You get one bill and the $5 discount would be the pros. Cons would be you miss out on any updates, or advanced warning on changes to your Dish service that would normally be sent along with your Dish bill.

I've heard of at least one telco (Windstream) who "censored" the offerings of E*, I.E. you could not order any of the "Adult" channels through their bundle (not that it matters to me, but it might to some).

What updates or warnings? I've been paperless for years.  This board is where I get my updates and warnings! ;)

Thank you all. You were very helpful and am enjoying my dish service. I had Xfinity and I do believe the picture quality is better with dish. I have the Hopper w/ sling. With comcast, I had the X1 platform. The only thing I miss with comcast is all of the on demand selections and BBC World News Channel.

There are plenty of on demand choices on E* if you hook up your broadband to the DVR.

Where I live, I have no alternatives for internet and cell service is not consistent so I have to keep voice too.   So I bundled DISH, Internet and voice with TDS, and got discount rates the first year and $300 credit to boot.  I was with DirecTV for 14 years, but switched due to these price discounts.

I've had no problems with the bundle, but now in my second year of the agreement the discounts are gone but for $5 per month.  I will most likely switch back to DirecTV after my 2 years with DISH are up, again for the new customer discounts....
