Generally, no it is not authorized for obvious reasons, especially for the premium networks. However, HBO GO, MAX GO, Showtime Anytime, Starz Play etc. are authorized during free previews.

Now during other free previews such as XTRA or ULTIMATE free trials, I believe I have noticed the additional networks (that have VOD on D*) in those packages authorized during free previews.

But, general rule of thumb is they are not authorized during free trials.

List of networks with HD VOD content available on DIRECTV   DIRECTV Customer Service Live Online Chat (available from 8am-1am ET)   DIRECTV Regional Sports Network (RSN) fee lookup tool (zip code required)

DIRECTV Premium Channel Pricing: 1=$13.99 ($17.99 for HBO) | 2=$25 ($30 with HBO) | 3=$35 ($40 with HBO) | 4=$43 ($48 with HBO) | All 5=$55 per month

My Setup: 5-LNB SlimLine with SWM-16 | HR44-700 w/AM-21N | HR24-200 | H25-100 | H25-100 | C41-500

Well HBO GO doesn't seem to be activated for me.

Well HBO GO doesn't seem to be activated for me.

Interesting, it was working during the last free preview in April. I'm already a subscriber, but I have checked a relatives D* account and it doesn't appear to be authorized. Maybe D* has caught on (for obvious reasons).

I know back in April you could even authorize the HBOGO Roku app during the free preview. Same with Showtime trial in May, you could authorize the SHO Anytime Roku app during the free preview.

They way it was explain to me by a "DirecTV important person" was that in order to get VOD and the "go" services, there had to be some kind of money value tied into your account.  in other words, if you have a promotion where it says HBO monthly $0.00 or $17.99 you get these extra services, but when DirecTV just opens up the satellite channels the extra services are not authorized since there is no "money value" on all the accounts.

Hopefully this makes sense

HBO Go worked for me during this freeview.  I was able to catch up on Game of Thrones.
