There should not be any issue with that. But if you want to fix that do an IP address forwarding to those porta

Given a choice, I'd rather not see the error, but I don't know how to do that.  Are the instructions for that within reason for you to post?

Thanks, again.  You've helped me a lot already and I am very happy with my system and setup.

Ignore it. The only thing it has to do with is for one telephone company that allows you to access your voicemail via DIRECTV boxes. If you aren't doing that it's useless. It's not worth setting up ports and all in your router net around the thing you'll never use anyway.

It's truly meaningless.

Makes sense to me and I appreciate your response.  In the meantime, the system info changes to the attached errors shortly after I reset the router.  The "hardware failure" message doesn't seem relative to my system since everything is working, at least I think it is working.

Immediately after resetting the router I get the message "Coax Connected" but if I wait a few minutes and recheck, then it no longer says "Coax Connected" and instead says "Hardware Failure".

Thanks again fro helping me with this.  I'm really glad I found this forum.  Very well done.

Uh, one issue i saw with your diagram, do NOT terminate the coax on the power supply.  You do need to terminate on the spliters as you showed.

I have a feeling thats a glitch with the hardware error sign.  If everything is working fine, I'd leave it alone myself.

Have you run a system test? if not I would do that and see if it mentions any failures.

Removing the termination from the IRD terminal on the Power Supply solved my problems.  Thanks so much.

Awsome!!!! It's the one thing that you don't terminate on a swim system.

Guess I spoke too soon.  After removing termination the "Hardware Failure" returned.  Doesn't seem to harm the system.  The reason I terminated the IRD on the power supply was I had read on the forum that it was needed.  So, I guess it does not explain why I have gone from Coax Connected to Hardware Failure.  Regardless, when I run "system test", failure goes away and coax connected appears.

nothing weird at all.  every unused port on an SWM system to include the SWM PI RF port (if connected to RF) must be terminated.

I don't know why but I was under the impression it was self terminating if it didn't sense a load from the receiver.  I have swim 16s and use the power ports, so I never even worry about terminating the pi because of that... Its going to bug me for a month to figure out why I thought that..  :)

Could be due to your thinking still being influenced by the way previous legacy voltage/tone multi-switches operate long before SWiM existed.

Their unused outlet ports need no termination and could in fact even malfunction if terminated, since there was no satellite signal output available on them unless there was a receiver connected to them to request it.

People here are WAY too concerned about termination as a cause for issues as compared to its actual ability to cause issues.
