I currently have a HR44 in my living room and a single HR20, HR21 and HR24 in my bedrooms.

When I am in the bedroom with the HR24, I would like to still be able to schedule recordings on the HR44.

1. If I replace the HR24 with a C41, will I be able to do so?
2. Can I still control the C41 with IR so I can still use my harmony remote?
3. Can the C41 only schedule recordings on the HR44, or will I be able to schedule them on my other HR2x's as well?

If you're going to replace one DVR with a C41, I'd elect to retire the slowest one. If your recordings allow it, maybe you can replace the HR21 with the HR24 at the same time.

As a rule of thumb, DVRs cannot schedule other DVRs.

You might consider using an "app" to accomplish the goal.

3. Only a H2x can schedule recordings to any DVR in your DirecTV setup, but they're limited to only one week in the Guide. They also can't find FIA (Far In Advance) programs.

That is what I was planning to do.

Unless I can figure out why the HR21 is no longer working and fix it, switching them is a no brainer.
