transferring recordings to ipad

Just got my hopper with sling upgrade and I have a question before I start transferring programs. When I put a transferred program to my ipad, I can no longer watch it on my hopper unless I re-record the program, is this correct? Thank you.

Most programs will simply transfer a copy to the ipad so it will still be available on the Hopper.

 

Some due to DRM will move the program and will require you to re-record if you want a copy in both places.
