Hi there forum members. I got a few questions regarding hardware upgrades.
My current situation:
-Finished 2 year contract agreement last month and I'm currently out of contract.
-Hardware I have is a HR34 with 3 H25's but I just deactivated 2 H25's.So really I have only the HR34 DVR and one 1 H25.
-I have a TV in my master bedroom which my HR34 is connected to. Living room TV is connected to a H25.I have another TV in one my guest rooms which I only really use when I have guests in town or if family is visiting for a few months.Which is why I deactivated that H25.The other H25 was deactivated because a renter who was staying with me moved out a few months ago.
-I'm on the XTRA package and have HBO & Showtime.I've gotten NFL ST Max half of last year & this year.
So what I would like to do is replace the living room H25 with a C41 Wireless client so that I could use that client downstairs in the living room and also upstairs in the room where I have a extra TV.I also would like to replace my HR34 and get upgraded to HR44.
I called D* today I said "check contract end date".I spoke to a nice CSR lady who I thought was in retentions department. Only offer I got was a hardware upgrade to the wireless client and $99 install fee.I asked if they could replace my HR34 and upgrade me to the HR44 and was denied and said only if the HR34 was faulty.I even explained to her the HR34 has been acting up, which it honestly has where it does not power on or off through the remote to the point where I have to manually power off and reboot it by having to pull the power from the back of the HR34.
