one of Phone calls..
And the answer (for the asked question)

the factors for new local markets:

Where the ReTrans agreement is, where is economically visible... depending on population, subscriber base.. etc.. also - Fiber Connections. (those 3 factors are the main ones..)

But all the Cities are potencially possible... they are looking at the Entire USA.. and doing their best to accomodate everyone.. as fair as possible (to the best of their abilities of course) ;)

I bet the markets that will get added will slow down to get more room for those markets that have a lot of the locals on the wing slots so that they can put them all on one dish. I wonder how many locals they have on the wing slots? Probably enough to really worry Dish right now.

111 locals are on the wings
65 on 6 transponders at 61.5º
46 on 9 transponders at 148º
This includes locals that are uplinked but not active.

Only one market is currently entirely on a wing.

Syracuse made it already (as of yesturday) :)

we are going to have to see about La Crosse and Portland...

But some rumored Portland might be delayed for another week (like they made a mistake announcing it a week earlier ..or something like that)
