Some interesting news today. A U.S. House of Representatives panel on Wednesday approved a measure requiring Dish and DirecTV to put local broadcast channels on a single satellite dish instead of two dishes within a year. Also, the grandfather clause has been removed that currently allows some consumers to receive distant network signals. You can read more about it HERE.

The FCC has given authority for DirecTV to launch and operate DirecTV 7S. It will reside at 119 degrees along with DirecTV 5. Launch is set for Tuesday. More about that HERE.
