Hi All,
I was wondering if somebody could provide me with some information as to what channels are available on the 119 satellite in DTV? I have the 3 lnb dish but do not receive any signal from the 119 satellite and was wondering if I am missing something? I ultimately plan on going the HD route. Is there a list of channles available on each of the satellites? Thanks a lot.

Here's a list that shows the channel number, channel name, and location:

I don't have any facts to base some of this on just rumor.

Right now by having the triple LNB you should get NASA, RFD-TV and a couple of others.

Rumor has it ALL of the "extra" channels on 119 will move to 101 on or about June 1st. Then only locals for certain cities will be on 119. If that's true and you get your locals from 101 there will be nothing for you on 119.

All of the HD content, as far as I know, is on 110, not 119....

If I'm wrong please feel free to correct me.
DirecTV since 2/95
XM Since 06/04

Lots of HD will be on 119.

There is still going to be some Conus Beams there. I think 7 beams.

The rest will be all Spot beams for locals.

They can get 3 HD Channels on one Conus Beam.

I have been waiting "patiently" for my HD TIVO to arrive (still waiting), and especially looking forward to HBO HD.You can imagine the disappointment I felt when I realized the channel is on the 119 bird. The trees in my neighbors yard are a problem every summer as I have difficulty with some of the channels, i.e., NASA, and CCTV once the leaves are out. Fortunately NASA is moving to 101 which will eliminate that problem. My question is, why do I get good steady signal strength on some transponders but low or no signal on 22, 24, 26 and 30?

And can someone tell me which transponders HDNET and HBO HD are on. Hopefully they are on one of the transponders I receive.

NASA, RFD and BYU are now on the 101 bird. I thought CCTV9 was moving too, but my old regular receiver doesn't get it.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

CCTV9 is still on 119 as of this post. They may not move that channel.

It shows the channels for each of the satellites up there. Very cool site.

I am still getting RFDTV and I don't have 101. Only 110, 105 and 119.

DirecTV doesn't have a satellite at 105.

Note to DirecTV:
My Zip code is 08008.

I live 60 miles East of Philadelphia.

I'm 83 miles South of NY.

Comcast provides KYW, WPVI, WCAU, WHYY, WPHL, WTXF, WPSG & WMCN all in both SD & HD in Ocean County.
Why don't you?

Golfer,

You must have Dish Network. The information above refers to the new satellite that DirecTV is getting ready for use tomorrow (we hope). Changes mentioned here won't affect your service.

CCTV9 is all English all the time and is CONUS.

Where would for example the local Philadelphia channels be? 101?

Yes. All the bigger cities are at 101, the smaller ones are at 119.
