The House Energy and Commerce Committee marked up the Satellite Home Viewer Extension and Reauthorization Act (SHVERA) at a hearing Thursday. The bill contains more detail about rules governing the delivery of significantly-viewed stations and proposes remedies if a broadcaster feels that a satellite TV carrier is importing a signal improperly. More HERE.

As we reported yesterday, DirecTV will be officially launching 13 local markets today. Also contained in the same thread is an unofficial list of the other 29 markets that are supposed to launch this month. More HERE.

The staff here at DBSTalk.Com would like to personally thank you for visiting. We enjoy bringing you the most accurate news and information available for satellite TV. If you have any suggestions on how we can do things better, please start a thread in our admin forum to let us know your thoughts. Thanks and have a great weekend!
