I've noticed that some websites list MusicChoice channels 856-865 as being available on the 101 sat. I'm only able to receive channels up to 843 (Contemp. Christian). Are these other channels actually available? I don't see any mention of these other channels anywhere on the D* website.

I only have TC so I know that I'm not able to get all of the MusicChoice stations, but shouldn't these other channels at least show up in the EPG like the others that are only available on TC Plus?

I have an RCA 450RG and 430RG using an 18" dish with dual lnb, neither of which can receive these channels.

Thanks,
Jeigh

BTW, I'm new here so a quick Hello to everybody.

They are part of the Para Todos package. If you don't have a elliptical dish, they won't show up in the program guide.

The channels I've seen listed as part of Para Todos are within the 845-851 range and are on the 119 satellite. The ones I'm talking about are listed as being on 101 so I don't see how I shouldn't at least see them listed in the program guide even if I can't view them.

Welcome To DBSTalk Jeigh :hi:

The Music Choice channels 856-865 (Rock Hits, Party Favorites, Soft Album Mix, Classic R&B, Mexicana, Italian Pop, Tejano, Contemporary Instrumentals) are on 101 and are part of the commercial Music Choice package that DirecTV offers to businesses, so its my guess D* hides these channels on residential subscribed boxes. The spanish channels included in the list are also on 119 since they are apart of the PT packages. Hope this helps :)

Thanks Steve. That does answer my question. I was wondering more out of curiousity than anything else.
