I am trying to connect the new directv satellite HDTV Tivo to my Runco pl50C. The satellite tuner outputs component and HDMI. I purchased a monster video HDTV cable with RCA component from the receiver to DB15 on the pass through port of the PL50c controller. I set the pass through port to YUV and and set the controller to pass through. My monitor displays an image that is washed in green. I checked all the cable connections and they are connected to the right ports on the satellite reciever.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks
Jon

The DB15 is a standard RGBHV connection. It is Pure component while the "Component" connectioon from the HD TIVO is a color difference signal Y, R-Y, B-Y.

The fact they you see greenish cast tells me your Ruunco is looking for an RGBHV type component signal and you are giving it a YUV type signal. If you selected something like "YUV" in the Ruunco, that may mean an SD YUV betacam like component signal that is Y, R-Y, B-Y. That is not the same as your consumer component Y, Pr, Pb which iswhat the HDTIVO is outputting. Hope both ways of explaining it made some sense. Don't you have a "consumer component" input on that Ruunco? Should be the industry standard 3 RCA jacks for "Red Green and Blue" FYI- When it comes to RGBHV signals, there are several varities here too. e.g RGBHV (5 wire), RGBShv (4 wire), RGsB (3 wire), Then you have the DB15 connector that was mase popular with computer monitors. These usually are RGBHV.
