So shed a little bit of light for me. I live in North Mississippi but my Local channels come from Memphis, Tennessee on Direc Tv. I am not with Dish Network. I live in the farthest county east that Memphis covers in the North Mississippi local tv market. Does this mean I will be able to now receive Tupelo, Mississippi local channels? I would like to receive these channels on Direc Tv. By the way I actually live closer to the Tupelo/Columbus area than Memphis and would like north mississippi news to be available on my dish.

I dont think thats right. Im originaly from baltimore and i was born there and i should know whats going on in my city any my state. I wanna keep up with Baltimore sports and know what trades the orioles or the ravens make. I think they should allow people who were from that city and state to see whats going in their ex hometown.

I understand that you WANT Baltimore TV but what have you done to make it happen? Have you written to your representative and senators to tell them what you wanted?

If you are in the Memphis DMA you will continue to get locals from Memphis. All the bill will do if enacted is give each provider the abilty to give you locals from another DMA. It does not require it.

I guess I'm a little late reading this post, so sorry in advance if I ask redunant questions here......

So the bill DID pass, and this means that for those of us that have DNs can keep them for the next 5 years? What if you have locals and DNs? Can we keep both still? I guess I'm still a little confused....sorry.
