The CSR people have probably not been informed of significantly viewed yet, since the law was just signed. The powers that be at DirecTV will have to study the law and wait for the FCC to determine which SV channels will be available in each community. As I understand it, the law only allows the FCC to make the decision.
Keep checking this forum. When a development occurs in this area, we will definitely post the info and discuss it very heavily.

There is nothing in the new law that would force DIRECTV to carry a station that cable imports from another area. You would have to ask DIRECTV directly to carry it.

President Bush recently signed the new 'SHVIRA' law. Is there any where one can find out how that relates to someone in the Green Bay Market who subscribes to Directv.
Wait a minute, I thought the Senate hadnt even passed it yet, how could the POTUS have signed it?!
This site shows that the most recent action on HR 4518 was its delivery to the senate. http://thomas.loc.go...z?d108:HR04518:
When I navigate here: http://www.senate.go..._menu_108_2.htm I see that the Senate has yet to even vote on it.
Am I missing something?
