I have this innovative idea for adding regional sports networks in HD. Mr. Ergen should permanently add the regional sports network in HD for the winner of the Superbowl and the winner of the World Series. I know that bandwidth is a major issue for Dish. This way, Dish will need to add only two regional sports networks in HD each year. Oh wait, maybe they only need to add NESN HD and that will cover them for the next five years.

:hurah:   :D :)

Sorry, I could not resist. Though I am serious that linking HD regional sports coverage with team performance is a reasonable way to add HD sports coverage.

The problem with the RSN's in HD on Dish is not just bandwidth. In NY, FSN and MSG are owned by Cablevision. Cablevision doesn't even have these RSN's in HD on their Satellite service voOm. The advertise these HD stations as, "Only on Cable, Not available on Satellite". So I don't think you'll see then on E* or D* soon, even if they have plenty of bandwidth available. Otherwise your idea sounds great to me.

DVDDad, Cablevision by LAW has to negotiate fairly with Dish and DirecTV since the SD services are delivered via satellite.
Anybody else wonder just how horrible WWE's "wrestling" is gonna get?
