My Y adapter cracked badly and I had a hassle getting it replaced under warranty. It was something like $8 and I asked them if I was a good idea to loose a sub over $8. They replaced it no charge.

I have replaced a couple remotes the same way, and one bug ridden receiver. The upgraded a 4000 to a 4800 after the first RA one came in bad.

Warranty is a GREAT deal.

I can't find that stipulation anywhere in the ext. warranty info. I have had many customers add it on years after the original warranty ended.

Unless you are meaning that if you want continuous coverage, you must add it on prior to your 11th month. If so, I understand completely.

Yes, but you will have to wait 30 days before coverage takes affect.

Oh, I see how this is, if you wait until your warranty runs out which is the first year then you will have to wait 30 days to get coverage on that product again even if it was right after your warranty expired. That is a major stipulation that needs to be noted.

Here is the pamphlet I received from Dish about the warranty. Two highlights. First, you must be signed up for a year or you get penalized a $15 early withdrawal fee. Second, the commitment begins 30 days after you sign up.

Page 1 of these files is about 600k.
Page 2 is about 100K. I had to keep them large so you would be able to read them.
