This evening, VOOM's own HDN news, cha 100, announced that a Tuesday afternoon agreement was reached between Chuck Dolan and Cablevision's Board of Directors to delay shutting down VOOM operations. The senior Dolan was given a new deadline of March 31 to put together his deal.

This is the first time I have seen VOOM reporting on any of the Cablevision board's official actions

Interim Deal Keeps VOOM Alive
Cablevision said it entered into an agreement with its chairman, Charles F. Dolan, and his son Thomas Dolan in which they agreed to work cooperatively and finalize a separation of Cablevision and its Rainbow DBS operation.

The agreement allows Rainbow DBS to remain in operation and continue to provide VOOM service to subscribers while the Dolans seek to arrange an alternate transaction that would avoid a shutdown of the satellite TV business, the company said. Charles Dolan has agreed to fund any costs incurred by Rainbow DBS above those that would have been incurred under a shutdown scenario, Cablevision added.

The agreement, which was approved by the Cablevision board during a meeting Tuesday, terminates on March 31, Cablevision said.

The move follows last week's threatened shut down of the service by Cablevision, which the company postponed after Charles Dolan placed new members on the cable company's board.

Wow...so, this guarantees that they'll stay "on-air" until the end of March...weren't we already told that they would be gone at the end of March?? This doesn't answer the same question we still have: will VOOM be around April 1st??

Sounds like a bad zombie movie as they refuse to die......

They are also endlessly searching for brains as well........

Voom must have feline DNA because they are on life number 5 at this point.
