Found this news bit posted on the Echostar Knowledge Base this afternoon -

"The EPG on channels 139 & 450 (Sports Stop) now states that as of 4/20 the channel content is moving the channel 102 (TV Guide Channel) (Dave)"

At first, I thought that "Sports Stop" was going to totally replace the content on that insipid waste of bandwidth known as TVGC. But then, when I went to channels 139 & 450, the following EPG message said -

"Beginning April 20th, your Sports Stop listings will be found on TV Guide Channel, Ch. 102."

I am wondering, will SS totally replace TVGC on 102, and TVGC fade into oblivion or will SS be discontinued altogether and all sports information be transferred to the bottom 1/3rd of the TVGC?

Tune to 102 -- "Sports Stop" is one of the blocks scrolling at the bottom of the screen.
I guess E* is just wanting to save some space by pulling the 139/450 loop.

Some of those ads are packaged into infomercials. :D

It is supposed to be an ad channel, selling TV shows and premium content.

While viewing the Sports Stop info on TVGC, I now notice that TVGC is showing TV listings for some of the channels on Dish Network in the "Now/Next/Later" format. Those channels are...

107 - Comedy
114 - E! Entertainment
116 - GSN (Game Show Network)
118 - A & E
122 - SCI-FI
124 - BET
129 - BRAVO
135 - BBC
204 - COURT
239 - WGN

Wonder why that is happening?
