I live in Dalas,TX. Every since I have had my 942 (April 19), the Sunday night 10:00 pm news for channel 5 and 8 does not show on the guide. In place of the 10:00 news, the 10:20 sports shows. These channels have news 10:00 - 10:20 and sport 10:20 - 10:45. The 10:00 news just does not show up. When I select the 10:00 time to record, it shows the 10:20 sports show. This probem only happens on Sunday night, as all the other days the news runs 10:00 - 10:35.

I also have a 501 and no problem. The 10:00 news shows at 10:00. The 10:20 sports shows in the 10:30 time slot with (10:20).

Has anyone in Dallas had this problem?

Has anyone in other areas had this problem?

Is this a problem with the guide data or the way the guide deals with two programs starting during the same 30 minute time window?

Looks like this is the "NBR can't set timers for short programs" bug that I posted here.

For now, to record a short program that starts at the top of the hour, you have to set a manual timer, even though NBR will find it in the guide.
