I live in Northern Kentucky, but lately have been finding some shows and games blacked out on FoxSS.
Curious as to why I cannot view sertain shows ala the SOuthern Sports Report and last Saturday and Maryland/West Virginia game.
I know I cannot receive Turner South, but a lot of FoxSS programming comes through, it is just some shows cannot be viewed.
Curious as to why that is....

In Northern Kentucky, the Cincinnati version of FSN-Ohio is your local RSN.

As to the Southern Sports Report, what probably happend is that a live event ran long. While the guide will read Southern Sports Report, its the previous programming still on, and still blacked out.

As to the football game, that was syndicated by JP Sports to local stations in towns of interest. FSN-South bought it for showing in its own local zone, just like a local station would. You do not live in the FSN-S local zone. It was available in Game Plan for others.

Fox Sports South is my primary RSN, but I get Fox Sports Ohio (and Cincinnati) as a secondary RSN with the Sports Pack. I get all Cincinnati Reds games on FXCN, but I don't get Blue Jacket hockey games, I'm guessing because they're not a Cincinnati team.

Anyway, that's just to let you know that some shows are blacked out of my secondary RSN as well.

my son noticed that several sports stations seemed to have changed availability?
Some now say something like - program not availalble, and list the receiver and card id numbers. Others say for access call x721.
Has this changed? or are blackout rules dynamic and I'll never understand them?
(this is stations in the 600s, with Total Choice Premier.)

The Maryland - WVU game was an ACC JP-Sports game, probably available in Georgia only - other areas of the southeast are expected to watch the game on a local OTA station (or ESPN GamePlan if not in ACC territory). If you've been seeing other ACC football games in the clear from Kentucky, consider yourself lucky.
