The Senate approved legislation Wednesday that contains provisions for the nation's eventual switch to digital TV, including the establishment of Feb. 17, 2009, as the "hard-date" for the transition. More HERE.

DirecTV appears to have hit some speed bumps with the rollout of its new digital video recorder. More HERE.

UPDATE

On today's retailer chat, DISH announced price increases to take effect Feb 1, 2006. Also, the 942 will be discontinued and the 622 will be available Feb 1. More HERE.
