I have Dish but am considering switching to Direct to get distant HD locals, particularly ABC for the Super Bowl. I live in Nowhere, Alaska so waivers and qualifying is not an issue. I can currently "see" 110 with a 6-foot dish and I've heard that as of Dec. 1, Direct has their HD-locals on a different satellite, also at 110. Direct's feed was at 105 and that is tough up here but 110 is feasible. Anybody know for sure?

110 has no locals, HD or otherwise. 110 has the national (CONUS) feeds for HBO-HD, Showtime-HD et al.

HD LiL for LA and NY are on 101 or 119 (I don't recall which). All other HD LiL will be on the MPEG4 Ka Band sats at 99 abd 103.

ABC HD feeds are on the 119 Sat. If you have the waivers you can get

ABC East Coast, Channel 86, Sat 119, transponder 22
ABC West Coast, Channel 87, SAT 119, transponder 24

Hope this helps. You're going to be short on time.
