A lot better option would be a SuperDish bracing arm set. It forms a tetrahedron, when correctly installed; the strongest structural system in nature. A monopole installed will not increase x axis or side to side load strength, while the tetrahedral structure will have no degrees for fredom of movement.

The SuperDish kit will fit the 2" pole perfectly.

They sell for almost nothing on eBay;

Not my auction, but it gives you an idea on what they cost and how it works. If you can't find one, send me a private message. I can ship you one at a good price.

Placing monopole in line with long edge of the J pole foot will not increase side to side load strength but placing at 45 degrees will benefit both axis if only 1 monopole is used. 2 is better of course but installer should make best use of one if that is all he has.

Mike, those are not the correct parts for the AT9 dish. You should get the monopole.

What is VE's price for a pair?
I could not find it on VE's website.
I'm not a VE fan so I'm not committed to buying them there.
I've written to Solid Signal.

Solid Signal has a better advertised price.
$17.99 each, only $6.95 to ship one/ only $10.95 to ship two.

I have found if you call them and mention the Forum the price is even better!

You should have been charged $14.99 each plus $6.75 shipping for both braces. If we overcharged you please call me so I can put a credit on your credit card.

I was impressed with Robert's honesty to "dsanbo" and purchased the monopole via VE. I will further comment upon receipt.

Robert PM'd me and issued a credit to my card...His honesty and integrity speak volumes to HIS credit....and credibility!!
Glad to hear you went with VE....It's nice to know SOME business folks STILL know about ".......the best policy".....;) The rewards transcend mere monies.....
Kudos again to Robert and VE!:D

My installer used two of the monopoles at a 45 degree angle on my AT9 chiminey mount and it is rock solid. I live two blocks from the Pacific and those onshore "breezes" can get pretty hectic so extra points to him for the additional effort.
