I'm getting a "Receiver is in Standy - Booting" Attention 680 at startup. No power lights on. On the tech portal in says that you must wait till the hard drive boots. Anyone seen this before and how long could this take? Does this mean that my hard drive may have gone south?

I've only seen this if I power button reboot the receive while it is in standby. Usually it will be back in 10-15 minutes (a normal boot cycle).

Thanks Allen, it took around 15 minutes and all is well.

I had this after leaving it overnight. Having just missed my auto-reboot window 1-2AM MST, I had manually rebooted and went to sleep.

So I rebooted again and I was back in but still with 46-hour (and less) guide.

How do they ruin the guide without loading software?
