I am a Dish Network subscriber. Dish doens't have distant HD. Can I subscribe to direct and get denver locals only and no other programming? I am the engineer for our station in wyoming so I can get waivers easy enough.

Thanks

I don't believe that D* offers any "locals only" package. You would need to subscribe at least to the Total Choice package (IIRC).

Have you tried to get the LA HD "locals" from Dish using a waiver from your station? You should be eligible under the new FCC rules for west coast HD networks.

As far as Denver locals specifically, you also have to be concerned with spot beams. Regardless of permission, if you are located outside the spot beam coverage, you won't get them regardless.
