I just noticed that I am not able to recieve channel 5 (KTLA-Los Angeles) any more. I am using a LA address for the service, but my dish is elsewhere. However I used to get this channel as it was on the national beam. Did they remove it? Why?

I just checked the three national network feeds from LA, KABC, KCBS and KNBC (ch 387, 381 and 383) and all three are running on national feeds. Any other channels local to LA may well be/probably are on spot beams.

Yes, it is a superstation and available on the main birds.

Superstation status should not matter on D*---or to receive locals.

I did some updating of my lists. It appears that DirecTV moved KTLA to the LA spot-beam.

A potential hazard involved in "moving".
