If I buy the 622 for $499. does the $200. rebate from Dish still enter into the cost. In other words will the 622 cost me $299 plus my 942 ?

No there is no rebate from Dish for a purchased receiver. The rebate only entered into the cost of a leased receiver, not a purchased receiver. What makes more sense is to sell the 942 on ebay, current ebay prices are around $350. Then purchase the 622. Total final cost 499-350 = $149. This is the scenario I'm currently contemplating.
