The PS3s graphics should not be much better than the 360's graphics. It will all come down to control. But it is very good that you are going to use the PS3's extra features. I, myself, will be content with the Wii.


With an HDMI output on the PS/3, I would be surprised if the graphics aren't vastly greather than the PS/2 when viewed on an HD TV.

Not hard to imagine seeing the graphics on the PS2 were HOT for its day but dated compared to the XBOX.

As far as the original question for this thread...I think $ony is taking a big gamble with their priceing. Come Xmas when the PS3 becomes available in limited quanity and retailers force you to buy a bundle that will put the price in the 1K range and 360 are A. plentyful and B. M$ reduces the price, only the diehard PS fans will pony up. So yes, its too expensive for what you are going to get in comparison to the competetion.

Just remember, the HDMI output will only be available on the more expensive PS3
