Reliability Factor: 4 of 5
----------

Appears there will be a promotion starting on 6/28 for NFL Ticket
$69.99 a month for 4 months

But along with NFL Ticket you will get PREMIER for free.
(Not sure if that means you get Premier for the price of Total Choice, or if you simply get ALL of Premier for no charge)

And a Free PPV Movie

Update:
Reliabilty 5 of 5; Dealers have recieved information on the package
and it appears only for NEW customers ( :( )

I think it'd have to be the former... Premier alone is $99.99/mo. Still, that's a pretty good deal; TCP is $55.00 more per month than TC (and $50 more than TC+), so Sunday Ticket would end up costing $14/mo.

ETA: Or maybe it's just TCP free for a month?

I would suppose that offer would pertain to new NFL Ticket subscribers and not current subscribers (me). :(

Earl make that a 5 of 5 rumor. Released to dealers is 6/28/06 to 10/02/06 Q3 promotion. 4 Free months of Total Choice Premier w/a subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket @ 4 payments of $69.99ea.
Customer Eligibility: New Residential customer on approved credit. 1-2 Yr.programming commitment based on equipment.
Ho Hum! Their usual promotion HD games will be $99(Super Fan)

Well now we know what the importance of 6/28/06 was.

Overall of course, this promotion would save money, but they have also RAISED the ST price to new subs. It is only $249 ($229 for early bird - which is before 7/1). $69.99 X 4 = $279.96

Ah, OK, so if you're already a DTV sub, you're SOL. I figured it'd be that way. They already know they're getting my money, so they don't need to go crazy to keep it coming in. :)

They Changed the Directv website this morning. Looks like its as we thought, except better. It is four months of Premier totally free (as speculated) and includes the HD package for four months.

However, it looks like SuperFan is no longer free. Also, they have at least a picture of the new HD DVR up on the site. I'll post the link after my fifth post.

Not sure what that means. Any new info Earl?

399 after a 100 rebate???? wow kinda expensive, They need to realize they are competing with E* now, who has a 199 HD DVR!

By the way, talking to a person at directv, they said they were giving away the HR10-250 (there are threads about this in here) because the NFL had gotten on them about their renewal rate, so they had to strike that deal with the NFL, to sweeten the pot for those wishing to cancel their NFL sunday ticket!

I don't think that's the DVR. It looks just like the H20 to me.

I should probably be talking about this over in the HD section anyways.

I gotta call in to D* in a few for my MPEG4 Upgrade. I'll ask them and post what I found out here.

EDIT: That is not the MPEG4 DVR.

That's pretty much the annual offer: sign up for NFLST and get Premier for 4 months free. That's what it was when i signed up 4 years ago and has been offered every fall since..with minor tweaking
