James made several great maps that show where the spot beams are. Memphis is in transponder 20 spot 14. http://ekb.dbstalk.c...pots/e10t20.pdf

The spot beam reaches western Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, northern Mississippi, the northwest corner of Alabama, western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, southeast Missouri and very southern portion of Indiana.

why isn't there a map for transponder 31 (greensboro, nc, among others)?

tony -- this is great stuff. would you consider adding a page to the EKB that shows a matrix of which cities can be picked up from which locations. ie, if i live in city X, the matrix would show to which cities i would be eligible to "move".

if you don't have anything else to do, a map for transponder 31 would be nice...

WOW! That would be a serious undertaking. The maintenance such a thing would be interesting too!

I'll look into that when I have the time and inclination :)

See here for what I do have done (and posted on April 25th).

Spots without the markets or PDF formatting.

I've considered making a complete spotbeam site with market links - I have every E10 spot drawn in a separate image without markets added - then I realized I could be doing more interesting things. :D Thanks TNGTony for your work.

James,

Did you make maps for tp 27 and 29? If so where are they so I can add them to the EKB.

Thanks!

Oops

Beat me to it...

james -- the .gif images you posted in that thread are really good. do you have similar images for the other transponders? tngtony has .pdf files hosted here:

http://ekb.dbstalk.com/297

but they're not as big -- i really like the fact that your .gif files are zoomed in so far. it makes the regions much easier to distinguish.

You can zoom in the PDFs just as far. :) All the E*10 maps on that page on the EKB came from James in the first place! :)
