KOVR moving weekend shows up an hour

That tick-tick-ticking of the clock that opens each Sunday's broadcast of "60 Minutes" will toll an hour earlier for viewers in Sacramento, starting Aug. 27.

Channel 13, the CBS owned-and-operated station in this market, announced Monday that it has received permission from the network to move all its weekend prime-time programming up an hour. KOVR already airs its weeknight prime-time lineup between 7 and 10 p.m.

That is good news. It never made sense why they kept the 8-11pm for weekend primetime but yet ran it 7-10pm on the weekdays. KPIX did it that same way in the 1990s.
