Split signal question
Posted 04 August 2006 - 08:08 PM
Basically, what I am asking is where can I buy a splitter that will work with the D* signal similiar to the one I have outside to split the signal for dual tuners?
Also, will have to pay 2 dvr fees since I will have one that is d* and one that is tivo?

The only way to only have one line "split" on a dual tuner, like boba said, get a stacker/destacker. This device takes one of the signals and stacks it on a higher frequency so both signals can be carried on one line. This is essentially what Dish Network does with the DishPro line of LNBs and switches. However you still need another LNB jack at the satellite dish or switch. There is no getting around that.
