I can't find the price of leasing a DirecTV DVR. This is without any deal. Just if you are going to add one.

Thanks!

I can't find the price of leasing a DirecTV DVR.

What model?

The monthly lease is $5 and the "drive off" varies by receiver and promotion. You need to call DirecTV to find out what is available to you.

But do you need to pay something up front? Like the HD DVR you need to pay $399 up front.

I believe you can only get the non Tivo one now which I think is called the R15.

In some deals it is $100 and there is a rebate. So I guessing it is $100 up front?

Thanks for the help!

R15 is $99 up front new or existing customer, new customers qualify for a $100 rebate. HR10 should be $399 but with the introduction of the HR20 I'd see if Directv is offering any specials to clear them out.

You can also BUY the receivers from DirecTV without the 2 year agreement. Unfortunately, the prices are also more expensive. I believe the R15 is around $250, and the HR10-250 is around $700-$800.

DirecTV doesn't advertise these deals... but I have heard they offer it.

Don't know about that. I'm a new customer and I got one free R15 and H20 through the Sunday Ticket deal and am about to use the "DVR4U2" code to get another R15 about a month later.

You'd have to ask a CSR for verification.

Did you get the H20 for free? I am a new customer and hope to get a H20 for free. Going to sign up for the Sunday Ticket deal.

Yes, I got the H20 and the R15 free along with the AT9 and everything else necessary.

I would recommend waiting til you see what the offers are for the HR20 .... I'm thinking they're going to announce something about it tomorrow.

Maybe back in the day, but the charges are:

$4.99 Lease fee for each receiver >1 (the first receiver doesn't have a monthly fee).
$5.99 DVR fee (covers all DVRs on the account)

I don't think there are any $4 fees anymore.

You can also BUY the receivers from DirecTV without the 2 year agreement.

But will they do the install without a commitment? You would probably hate yourself if you bought an HR10 from here on out.
