I went to Best Buy today to check out the new PS3 and I was impressed. The detail of NBA 2007 was outstanding. After looking at the game machine a little closer, I noticed it only had HDMI connections. Did SONY not include Component connections? If so that really sucks. Does anyone else have a new PS3 or know anything more? I am not a huge gamer, but I was hoping to get the PS3 because of it's ability to play the blu-ray discs.

The component connections are used though the multi video output, they should supply one in the box but you may have to buy one as with the PS2.

Will that adapter allow you to display HD?

If you get the component video cables, you'll be able to.
