I was chit chatting with the installer and I asked him what satellite my locals come from and he said 103. I find that strange because the highest signal I get on 103 is 80. On 99 I get a 93-95 on TP4. Wish there was a way to find out what location they come from for sure.

99 and/or 103, it's hard to tell which ones are specific to you.

I don't have them yet (but I think they are testing)...I see 95 on sig levels on 99, next to nothing on 103...I sure hope my MPEG-4's come in on 99!!!

I found this: http://www.lyngsat.com/hd/space1.html

and this:

http://www.lyngsat.com/hd/space2.html

but I do not know how up to date it is because I do not see my locals from the Charlotte, NC DMA. I would like to know where they are as well.

Yea, Lyngsat isn't up to date with the new markets or added Tribune stations.

I'm in the same market as SParker but I get my highest readings on 103 (2 of them above 70) and on 99 TP4 is only about 65. Who knows for sure I guess until Lyngsat gets updated.

I want to say it's 103 because during the last major rain/sleet storm a couple weeks ago I basically lost all signal on 99 but my MPEG4 locals didn't go out...103 had around 45 or so, just enough. But I could be imagining it.

Nope, I think you have it...that's a definitive test. If your signal levels on 99 were zero and you still had MPEG-4/HD-Locals ...they were coming from 99...so you're not imagining things. We are on the cusp of getting HD-Locals here in the Des Moines DMA...and I see some big signals on 99 and next to nothing on 103...so my bet is we are going to get them on 99...but that really is speculation. Supposedly, we are going to see them by year's end...but I've had an inside source say there is only a 60% chance by then and 100% within 45 days. I sure hope the OTA roll out gets here long before then, as I'm MUCH more interested in OTA than I am MPEG-4

None of the new markets are on that list with which sat because Lyngsat doesn't have the data up yet.

My reply was directed to SParker who was wanting to see which of the
Spaceway's delivered his programming...it was not meant as a know-all
guide, altho Newshawk usually keeps the chart up-to-date. The newer
markets are added in here.. http://www.dbstalk.c...V_lil_list.html altho they do not yet list the Sat. as you
pointed out.

The only transponder I get on 99 with a big signal is TP4 which is 94%. On 103 I get TP1 at 72%, TP3 at 73%, TP4 at 69%, TP5 at 49% and TP6 at 80%. So if its 103 where we get our locals I would guess TP6. If Sat99 TP4 isn't our locals I won't what its for? Maybe Traverse City, Flint or Lansing spotbeam?

99 TP4 I get about 60, 0's on all others. I've a bit farther south then you. I'll bet it's for Flit/Bay City as it was announced as a market they are putting up.

On 103 I get 70s on TP4 and TP6. I'm guessing out locals on one of those. Although both Chicago and Detroit are on 103 I doubt we'd have such strong numbers on those being in between both and pretty far away from the edge of the spots.
