I know this has nothing to do with DBS and eventually this topic will be moved to potpourri but I wanted maximum exposure before it's moved.

The Blockbuster video chain is really trying to pull a fast one. Many of the DVD titles that they stock for rental are the full screen Pan & Scan version. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it becomes bad when they don't wish or desire to stock widescreen titles. Many people while trying to rent titles such as The Mummy Returns, Cats & Dogs, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Jurassic Park III find out that NO copies of the widescreen version of the films are on store shelves. It seems that when there's two versions of the disc available, Blockbuster only stocks the pan & scan version. When people complain to the company, they're basically given the brush off.

Blockbuster is a huge force in the industry and if we don't stop this now, it will only get worse. At the very least, the retailer should stock both versions of a disc. Clearly, they're not serving the needs of an important and vocal portion of their customers.

Please click on the link below and sign the petition. It's very quick and easy and you don't have to divulge any personal information except your name and e-mail address which is kept private. Thanks for you attention.
