Just got another new HR20 from the store yester and have a good working HR20 at last.

One problem is that I can not get NBC channel 11.1, 11.2 working through the HR20 even though I get 98-100 signal when hooked to the tuner in my TV. Anyone know what the prob could be? Thanks.

I receive 11.1 and .2 just fine with my HR-20 and have with all software since OTA went active. Located in Dallas, GA.

No problems here either with WXIA OTA. What does the HR20 signal strength meter show and have you tried re-running the OTA setup?

Directv since 1996

I am in Sugar Hill and have also not had any problems with 11-1 or 11-2

Va Highlands, no problem here either. As a matter of fact, 11-1 and 11-2 are the most reliable OTA channels I can tune on the HR20.

Have you tried to add these local channels manually from the local channels pick list? I am in Atlanta and get them fine, but needed to manually choose to add them when we set up the HR20.

Dumb question, but shouldn't the HR20 be pulling in WXIA from the dish instead of OTA if you subscribe to locals?

That's not a dumb question. WXIA has a sub-channel, 11-2, which is 24 hour weather. It's a nice feature you can't get without OTA enabled. Also, it's nice to have the OTA as a back up for locals if you're subject to rain fade or if there are other satellite issues.

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize that WXIA had additional HD feeds going out. Still on the fence if I want to get an HR20 or not.

The tuner in the HR20 must be more sensitive than the one in a TV. I had to go up and reposition the UHF antenna by reclining it. After that I am getting 90s. Thanks
