Turned on the boob tube last night and my 622 had a nice little message on it that read something like:

"We're sorry to tell you that your hard drive has become corrupt and we now need to completely erase your DVR recordings and start over. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope your wife doesn't make you sleep on the couch because she didn't get a chance to watch this week's episode on 24! But thanks for using Dish Network!"

Ok so maybe not the last part but my wife was pissed! Anybody ever get this message before? Is this something that happens a lot?

Just reboot the receiver and it should go away and all your recordings will still be there. This message comes up when the tv entertainment and the vod recordings are erased by Dish on their partion of the hard drive.

The message for 99.9% of the people reported has been benign. It is a bug and it has been indicated that it has been fixed in the next release due out soon. It seems to come in waves and looks like you are part of the wave. Do a search here and you will find plenty of threads about it with more details.
