I noticed the Tudors under the Tv entertainment section of the dvr and being a history fan decided to take a look.

I have the NR/AO lock enabled in the ratings lock and guess what it played without any request for the pass code.

If any of you have watched more than 10 mins of this well made drama will know it's not for a young audience. How do I lock this so my kids do not inadvertantly select one of these.

I also noticed it can not be deleted so I can't do that.

Supervision is the best remedy but we like to have a DVR by the fact we only record programs that are kid friendly. This is how it was when we had Tivo.

Is there any way to lock the TV entertainment menu option.

I've noticed the adult lock is very inconsistent. South Park is always locked, but then something like Boogie Nights on IFC comes up unlocked. I believe this has to do with the rating applied to the program.

I think your options are to tighten up your ratings locks, or just lock the channels that might show something that will slip thru. Both options available on the Locks menu.

His question was about the TV Entertainment section.. And as far As I have found there is no way to lock that section. Which is a major oversight if they do indeed put programming there that is not family friendly. And leaves Dish open to legal issues from the people that can't lock out that channel.

Sorry, didn't catch that.

Still, the biggest problem is this shows up with a NR rating. So I guess there's no hope??

Ratings locks are pretty much worthless IMO. I've noticed several times recently where the rating indicates "SC" only but sure enough it's chock full of nudity. I lock on a channel basis, primarily because I don't trust the ratings.
