I received a reply form D and they told me they should have a full line up of programming in August. But they will be showing the french open as mentioned in previous post. Too bad all the good players are gone. Sampras, Aggasi, Edberg, etc.

Well, I disagree with that. Federer is at least as good as those named...though he is not a charismatic personality by any means.

Uh, tennis fans?

Some us like both sports.

Anyway, there is no U.S. version of the NHL Network available at this pointto any provider...only the Canadian version (which I have access to via Star Choice, and even as a puck fan, it's honestly not that great a channel).

I'm here :) And I don't think anyone can straighten out the Yankees pitching :( What I'm trying now is to find out what has happened to the Smilies? Now the Smilies are back too bad the Yankee pitching isn't :( But they won tonight :)

The NHL channel was suppose to come to the U.S. back in 2002, according the the press release listed below.

NHL Network to tackle U.S. market

5/21/2002

TORONTO - TSN and Insight Communications are doing what few Canadian broadcasters have been able to do - take a channel into the U.S. market.

Beginning with next hockey season, The NHL Network, the Canadian category two digi-net which is jointly owned by the National Hockey League, Insight and TSN, will launch Stateside on satellite and cable as part of an enhanced NHL Centre Ice package.

The 24-hour channel which features multi-game highlight shows, team analysis and commentary, instructional shows and classic games will be distributed in the U.S. by DirecTV and to American cable operators by In Demand.

Yes, I remember that...but they keep pushing the planned launch out further.

Some info from Wikipedia (always to be taken with a grain of salt, of course).

Hrm "adult" makes it sound pornish and thats not what it is.....well most of it anyway.

Anime is animation that generally has plot lines you wouldnt see in the US. They are typically more complicated than having an anvil drop on someone head. Things you might have seen or heard of would include Robotech, Voltron, Speed Racer, Naruto, Princess Mononoke, Spirited away. Just to name a view.
