We have had many threads around here discussing ST or SF pricing by D*. Well, plain and simple, the Auto Renewal price is $229, Early Bird is $249, and regular price is $269. Many of us fell victim to no auto renewal, for various reasons, most commonly because we had to activate a receiver and the 2006 ST was causing an activation issue. Upon calling D*, we have been told Early Bird and the Auto Renew price were the same, WRONG!! Watch channel 214, it shows plain as day that the auto renew is 5 payments of $45.80!! So, I called D*, and without hesitation got a $20 credit called "NFL ST price correction", so D* even knows that they have been screwing up. It just takes us to call and demand what we are entitled to, $229 if you are a RENEWING sub.

Hope this helps.......:)

Should I be concerned if I haven't seen any charge yet? I should be on auto-renewal, in fact I verified this with them last week.

Any word on whether they'll continue waiving the Superfan charge for subscribers who paid for it previously?

Actually there is another price - $209...if you signed up for the MVP easy pay back in January or February (you pay for 11 months). I went this way because it's easier for me to budget that way.

Go to channel 107 and see if the "you are authorized for this program" appears. Your June statement is suppose to show the auto-renewal of NFLST. If not, then your auto-renewal did not happen and call directv. Apparently those that are auto-renewal have until June 30th to call, should their auto-renewal not happpen, to get the $229 price it seems. At least the message of channel 214 said that.

From my most recent statement I am getting a Renewal Notice: No Payment Due for this month and next.

Is this normal? I did not have this on my June 2006 statement.

TIA,

DK,

You are auto-renewed for NFLST. I think payment starts on the July or August (not sure) statement, since my bill showed the same as what you have.

Actually it is the same price as auto-renew (IIRC).

$20.82 X 11 = $229
DTV & NFLST since 97 at least, not looked back yet...

Though I don't mind the $45.80 in 5 payments........why not pay $19 a month and save $20?? Sounds like a deal all the way arround!! Maybe I will look to do that for the 08 season if they offer it??

This seems a little weird? Because it seems that most of us started paying in May? I always started paying in May in the past.......except the years that I just paid the whole thing up front.

Okay, that makes more sense. Why extend the convenience of a lower monthly payment AND give a cheaper price....? If anything, I would think the 11 pay may have a slightly higher total price, as opposed to the 5 pay, kinda like auto insurance, they stick a little "convenience fee" per month for the monthly deal.

You're right, my bad. It was $209 last year. I can't be right all the time. :hurah: ;)

I went with the monthly because basically I'll have the same bill amount all year round with a one month respite (Xmas present if you will). I hated having this HUGE bill 4 or 5 months a year.

Heck, I had to check my bill after I posted to be sure :D. I agree paying the small extra amount practically all year is better for me as well vs. the larger bill for 4 or 5 months.

I did the auto-renewal thing for $20 a month. It's a good deal and much easier to afford. The problem is, once you do that, you have to pay $99 for super fan as you can't get the Draft Day deal if you already have auto-renewal. That is, unless you pitch a bitch and threaten to leave. :D Sooooo the auto-renew may not be the best option if you are a super fan user.

That and it was mentioned either here or at TCF. No insert with the bill though...when I called back in February (or so) it took the CSR a while to find it.

On their web site right after the season was over. And I saw it here and on other forums. Always check for these kinds of deals. It ran thru end of Feb.

I don't think that's true. There are plenty of customer who were on auto-renew or payed the 229 price and got superfan for free... i think Bonscott did?

You must have gotten the same e-mail I got back from the CSR's... I seriously think they make this stuff up as they go.

Thanks for writing us about your NFL Sunday Ticket package. I understand that you're verifying regarding the early bird and auto renew offer pricing for our NFL Sunday Ticket offer. Upon checking on your account, I want you to know that you called up on may to have the NFL Sunday ticket package which offer the free Superfan that broadcast HD games. And with this, they granted you to get the early bird offer which includes the superfan package for free. I want you to be informed that this is much greater saving that getting back to auto renew offer which is only $20.00 savings on your bill because the NFL Sunday Ticket Superfan is offered for $100.00.

Moving on, If you decide to choice the auto renew offer we can make adjustment for you but your NFL Superfan package will be removed because this promotion is for our early bird customers.

I hope you find this information helpful and thank you again for writing. Stay tuned to directv.com for the latest news and information about our services.

Sincerely,

DIRECTV Customer Service

We'll see if I get it free come September but I called in about the email deal during the draft and while they couldn't add it to my account that time they said it would be noted on my account that I should get SF for free. Again, we'll see how much I'll have to fight for it later this summer.

I just check my account on-line and went through the program changes to try and remove NBA. I saw the NFL Sunday ticket and it said the auto renewal was 49.80 x 5 payments which come to 249.00. It was my understanding that it was 229.00 for Auto renewal. If you have this showing on your programing you may want to check out the price that shows up when you go to program changes. I am gonna call but probl won't get much help. Also no Super Fan. I am one of the ones that do not pay a HD fee ( B.S. fee ) so that means if I want SF I would have to play 43.00 per mth for 3 mths ? That means I would be paying 378.00 for The NFL Pk just to watch in HD. That is highway robbery. I am actually thinking of getting rid of NFL and DTV for good. They just keep on going up on the football and that is about the only thing they have that keep customers from bailing on them anyway.
